This Requires Administrative Rights Error Message

Symptoms:

When trying to add a user or access the administration screen the ’This Requires Administrative Rights’ error message appears.

Detailed Information:

This error means that the user that is currently logged in is not a Local Administrator. LearnKey training can only be installed in a Windows NT, 2000, or XP under a Local Administrative login.

Solution:

• Log in as someone with Administrator rights to the local hard drive and install the Learnkey CD to the default location
• After the install has completed, a training window will appear and have these five fields;
• First name
• Last name
• User name
• Password
• Verify Password


• Enter the ’Power Users’ information in the fields and make sure you can see the training
• Close the training
• Download and install the following file: ’Velocity3_Upgrade.exe’
• After installing the upgrade you can access the software by inserting the CD and letting it autorun to launch the LearnKey software.
