Please Insert the Correct CD-ROM Error Message

Symptoms:

The screen will display ’Please Insert the Correct CD-ROM and press Enter’ when trying to launch the training.

Detailed Information:

This occurs when the training has been installed on a previous operating system that has been upgraded. For Example if the training was installed on windows 98 and then the computer was upgraded to Windows XP, There may be an error message when trying top launch the training.

Solution:

Please uninstall the LearnKey software by following these steps:

http://www.learnkey.com/admin/upgrades/cdupgrades/LearnKey_Uninstall.exe

• Download and run the file above.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstall.

Once the software has been removed from your computer, take the CD out of the CD-ROM drive and then Reboot your computer and do the following to re-install the disks:

• Insert the Learnkey CD in your CD ROM drive.
• Wait for a minute and see if a User Agreement pops up. If it does, skip to step 7.
• Wait for a minute and see if a Blue install screen that has a big button that says ’Install’ pops up. If it does skip to step 8.
• Double-click on My Computer.
• Double-click on your CD-ROM drive.
• If a window with folders and Icons in it opens up, double click on "Setup.exe" (or a shortened version of that), otherwise go to the next step.
• Click on "I agree" if a User Agreement comes up. Otherwise go to the next step.
• Click on "Install".
• Allow the program to install and then click ’OK’ when it tells you the program is installed.
• Follow the rest of the instructions as they come up.
